Friday, August 09, 2002 I really, really hate moving. On the plus side, we don't have to cart the big stuff. Rejoice!.:.Uniquely maladjusted... But fun.:. 1:54 AM It starts tomorro - er, later today. I _HATE_ moving .:.Uniquely maladjusted... But fun.:. 1:52 AM Monday, August 05, 2002 I simply hate stress.Sure sometimes it's good, but on the whole? It's sort of like the human race. Need it, but times you just wanna leave it all behind. .:.Uniquely maladjusted... But fun.:. 10:40 PM You know, I don't consider myself a very sensitive person. Sensitive to other people, I mean. I don't pick up on clues very well. I'm clumsy - even now in my early twenties. I don't really like people on the whole sometimes... So here I am. Crying over a handful of stupid trees! I don't know why. Two of them were in the front yard. On the right, facing the house from the street, was a cherry tree. It had pretty good fruit in the week you could get to it. And later there were all sorts of birds in it. A few years ago, there was an ice storm and it got split in half. We dragged that part away to the yard-waste dump and the other half still gave good fruit. (heh. Lame.) Then it was hit by lightening. So It's dead. I've been expecting them, agents ofthe realitors, to come by and cut it down. Behind it, tangled in the fence was a blackberry tree. Oh yum... It's gone too. Still alive and they just hack it apart with a chainsaw. Made a mess of the fence too. The pear tree in the back is gone, even though it leaned over from the neighbor's yard. Also, some good fruit. There were small flowering bushes tangled in the fence thrat went wild and thrived. I thought they were pretty. They're gone. There were small saplings. Also gone. The wild strawberries have been trampled. Buttercups are ruined. And the mint... On the left side was a pink dogwood. It was pretty. Set low to the ground and had a lot of twisting branches. Good for climbing and cradled a person so they could read comfortably. It was as good as the oak in the house we lived in prior to this one. They...my branch is gone. The ones that hung over the slope in the yard are gone. I sat under those branches when I took breaks from mowing the yard. The one that hung over the street has been cut back to the first branch. It's so lopsided now it's sad to look at. There're maybe four branches left. And they didn't drag the branches away. No, too hard. They brought a wood chipper with them. *sigh* I don't know why I'm so upset over trees. Really I don't. But it seems kind of offensive. To me. .:.Uniquely maladjusted... But fun.:. 10:06 AM |
