Y'know...I realize I'm supposed to have this really flowery tearful apology to the rest of creation. I'm supposed to ramble on and on about the deaths and the pain and the horror...I don't have anything.
Nothing.
I'm glad people are taking time out and thinking back about our "recent" loss. But really, it's been a year. There are somethings people just don't "get over" quickly, I know that. We've still gotta move on though. And this "war" where Those Above are throwing darts at a map of the Middle East and saying "Well, it landed in one of our camps. Let's send them thirty klicks to the south and see what happens" - It's getting trying.
Sure, I want who ever threatened us. AMke an example out of the person and his - or her, or their - recriuts. Can we use our allies for this? Do we have any anymore? Well, we've still got cars running and gas isn't up to ten dollars a gallon yet, so maybe we do. But invading a country just because we don't like who's ruling...That's a little stupid.
Think about Afganistan - Did we hear anything about the opression of the Taliban after we saet them up there? Nope. After "The Unknown Enemy" it was plastered every where.
Let's hear it for the People's Right To Know.
*sigh* I'm goign to turn off my radio, stick in a few CDs, ignore the newssites and just do stupid stuff. I'm going to pull the blankets over my head and ignore the rest of the world for a few days. This weekend is going to be for me.
So I'm selfish. *shrug* What else is new?

Well. Not a very interesting week. But it was definetly passable.Mum's buddy's gone back to the great big city he came from. Woo. Alone time!
I put in a new showerhead. That was fun. Sort of.
Most of the Plans for going up to Faire are made. Got the hotel rooms reserved, got a map and a way up...Yay! Now the tickets and whatnot...
Yick.
David brought me flowers! A half-dozen roses. I'm so happy... On the downside, he left the toilet seat up. He did buy dinner and gave me a footrub so I might forgive him. This time.
*ponders* If he does this when he screws up, maybe he hould screw up more often...
Nah. I don't like him when he's drunk. Roses ain't worth drunk-dialing. Now if I get him to cut back on his smoking habit signifigantly...that will work. He's just gotta chew more gum. Heh.
Well. I've blogged, and said nothing so...I'll go somewhere else and do something. Maybe. *waves*
