Well. It's amazing what you find if you just look.

Of course, if you don't know what you're looking at, it can get a little confusing.

Me and David (Yes Grammar Nazis, i know it's "David and I", but it was my idea.) went back behind one of the parks, because there was a hole in the fence. I wanted to see what was back there since the last time. It had rained earlier, so we didn't take the usually dry creek bed. It was up to my knees. Not a good thing.

So I took a way back I had seen last time and just started walking.

There was all sorts of stuff, and not just junk. Well, part of it was a junkyard - but that doesn't count. There was a suspension of an old Ford, a 'fridge, some old bikes with out chains, tires, ganster squirrels (Err...inside joke), and a few black snakes that scared me out of my shoes. And much, much more.

All in all it was very cool.

We spent three hours just seeing what there was.

Then we went to the mall.

Woo.

Well, there were good points. And I think I've managed to convince him to take me up to the KC RenFest at least once.

HEE!

All right. Going to go soak my feet now.

Oh lord, I love this place. The apartment rocks, truely it does.

It's three blocks from the downtown area. Call it seven from the square proper. There are four parks within decent walking range, one with a pool. There's a cemetary just up the street toward the south. The square is north. Restraunts, smaller parks including the new ice rink, bars, music venues, the Art Museum...The MidTown library is thirty minutes of walking or twenty on a bike, less when I find shortcuts...

The main street isn't that far away either. There's a college just down the street. There are rumors of an arcade - a REAL one - being put in, but I don't know if they're worth anything. A new comic shop somewhere close so I don't have to go all the way up to the mall...

A couple friends live not that far away.

This is going to be great.

And if I can;t find a job, I'm obviouly not trying hard enough.

Ooo...maybe one of the coffee houses!

Y"know...I don't think there's anything more disgusting than a failed yard sale.

Good news is, I didn't have to oversee it.

Bad news is, Mum and her friend only made 100 or so. One guy wanted to pay 1.75$ on a silver tea set. REAL silver.

*shrugs* I just set it up and took it down, I didn't work. Okay, so I did the hard stuff, but not the boring. Heh.
